@JosiahLi Communist tyrannies tend to institute extreme nationalistic border policies in order to hide govt atrocities against its people. However, that doesn't change Marxist communism's goal of open borders and lacking nationalistic identity. Both are horrible ideas.
"Freedom to travel" is not the same as "freedom to avoid border inspection". If you think you're supporting a "libertarian" position with completely free and open borders, you might actually be a Marxist. Karl loved the idea of no borders and no national identity.
@harmonizedgrace There are likely far more things in life, everyone's life, that you didn't ask for, good or bad, than there are things that you did specifically ask for. Ppl love playing the victim though. Symptoms of a rich society going soft because of its abundance. These ppl are too fragile.
@CasuallyGreg Thankfully, the timeline doesn't change from bad takes. But you're allowed to be wrong. :P Lol. Stone in Love is my favorite Journey song.
@TRHLofficial Canadians are an under recognized oppressed nationality. Watch South Park. SP has, for 26 yrs, perpetuated the stereotype that Canadians' mouths don't connect to their head. Science, on the other hand, has clearly shown that their mouths and head are normal, just like any other.
@ParaBellVerit70 @thtlibertychick At what frequency or percentage of users? I've seen people use this as an excuse to form their opinion, but without citations or literature to defend the statement. Mostly just hearsay and 40 year old DARE program talking points.
@ProcessWithPerk @thtlibertychick She's not interested in using them, but appears interested in discussing them. She's the one posting on the topic. People are simply replying. That's how social media works. You say something, and people respond with something.
@deaflibertarian They're not being inclusive. They're being exclusive. Those who are fall outside of the LGBTQ crowd are the vast majority, who are being excluded from participation because they're heterosexual. If they have the creds and are good workers, hire them regardless sexuality.
@thtlibertychick I'm not saying they're 100% positive, but there's a reason they're being explored for use in trauma cases. Trauma often keeps us from experiencing life and progressing in it. It's a medicine and should be looked at as such.
@thtlibertychick I've studied, used and conversed with ppl who've used psychedelics. In my exp, psychedelics seem to more often bring people to God than away from Him. I've talked to tons of ppl who were atheists or agnostics who had psychedelic exp's that removed mental hurdles to their faith.
@carynannharlos I'd say not just fraud, but if the intention is to persuade someone else that you're someone you're not, I'd even chuck identity theft into the equation.
@davidhogg111 That's not a threat. He's not saying he'd do it, but that when someone else does, he'll enjoy it. As a firearm owner and someone who often disagrees with your beliefs, people like this dude are horrible and should be deftly condemned for their ways of treating people.
@PatriarchySammi There are statistical likelihoods associated w/ cheating, men v women, based on survey studies. Estimated 60-70% of men still love their wife after cheating, 20-30% of women still love their husband after cheating. Men often dissociate sex from love, women often equivocate them.
@thtlibertychick Alimony made sense when women didn't work. A single paycheck was enough for a household. Not true for modern average income. Unless the no-kid parent makes over a certain amount, alimony is a detriment, no matter who has the kids. "Devalued goods" is neither here nor there.
@CasuallyGreg @JungleLeaa I would argue that she's not saying kids are unimportant, but your life partner is just that, there for life. Kids grow up and leave at some point to form their own unions. Your partner will hopefully continue to be your partner until you're both old, wrinkly and in wheelchairs.
@CasuallyGreg@nypost I believe it also includes gang violence with firearms that were illegally obtained, and police+civilian use of a firearm in self-defense. Although I could certainly be wrong about that. I read it once when I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.
