If you ever want to know the biggest reason why we are paying so much for petrol, it does not get more simpler than this video.

[Cheo Hodari Coker @cheo_coker]

I think this makes perfect sense. Soderbergh will match Reeves style and that of what's already been shot, is great with actors, and won't rewrite the script on the fly. He's also a masterful director and good friend stepping into a truly harrowing situation, but also already has his own considerable resume with nothing to prove by usurping someone else's movie -- and he won't. It's more of a showrunning approach to directing, but it will work, especially since Reeves will retain control in post production and it will also allow him to place his focus where it should be: his family.

[bailey @baileylikemovie]

To be going through what I can only assume is something horrific in his personal life and also be forced to abandon a passion project he’s poured years of work into, I feel awful for Reeves. Prayers up for him.

Reminder police K9s are allowed to maul you and if you understandably try to fight the dog with force you can get assault charges. But if police kill your dog like this it takes 7 years for the justice system to give you compensation most of the time never at all.

This right here is going to be a big problem for the new White House Press Secretary.

State bars are notoriously tough on any individual who claims to be a 'lawyer' or 'attorney' and holds themselves out as able to practice law.

I know this because I actually passed the bar.

Remember when Stormy Daniels said (under oath) that Trump told her she reminded him of his daughter, Ivanka? Now look at all his Press Secretaries.

Yeah this guy is a weirdo.

If it weren't for law enforcement, who would trespass on your property and kill your pets?

Palantir's merch feels like the endpoint in streetwear's evolution, which started with young kids in urban areas — mostly ethnic minorities from low-income families — creating their own style from the ground up. Over time, that aesthetic was co-opted by luxury brands seeking "authenticity." And now, by a surveillance company seeking cultural capital.

Streetwear used to be an aesthetic defined by the ground-up by people were disempowered in political and economic life, but engaged in actual street culture. Now it's an aesthetic dictated from the top down by giant corporations with no conenction to such cultures. And used by political and economic elites who want to appear as outsiders.

Another rape at a U Chicago frat!

Mia Lara is a hero!!! The frat bros who cheered this on should be identified and expelled!

"The trio danced in the basement. Ms. Lara’s friend and a man began kissing and Ms. Lara lost track of them. She searched the house, eventually finding a small group of men cheering outside a locked bathroom door in the basement, she said.

“They were saying things like, ‘When’s it my turn?’ and, ‘I want to go in there,” Ms. Lara said.

Ms. Lara jimmied the lock and forced her way inside. She found her friend sitting on the floor, slumped against the wall with her clothes and undergarments pulled down. The man whom her friend had been kissing had his hands on her wrists, Ms. Lara said.

Her friend began saying, “Make it stop” and “Get me out of here,” Ms. Lara said. Ms. Lara began screaming and the man left. She and her friend carried the woman out of the bathroom.

Outside the fraternity house, Ms. Lara chased the man, a scene captured in a social media video. In the clip, Ms. Lara yells at the man, accusing him of assaulting her friend.

“She wanted to,” the man replies. Ms. Lara swats the man with her hands, and he runs.

Ms. Lara said the man got away and she was intercepted by a campus police officer. The officer drove the three friends to the University of Chicago hospital, she said, where the police took a report and her friend underwent a rape exam."
