Most hated.
Many who evoke him today to deter justice would have likely hated him then.
People who never experience the sharp blades of racism are often quick to determine what is and isn’t racist, though they have zero wounds from its cuts and scars. Just like people with no kids are experts on parenting.
I love that the words “this is my son, whom I love, in him I’m well pleased” is spoken over Jesus before his ministry begins & not after the resurrection.
It’s a powerful reminder that God’s love always comes before—& is never contingent—on anything we achieve or accomplish.
Just in case you missed it: You cannot be a "good Christian" and be racist. Not on any level. If you do not / cannot see the image of God in others, you cannot see the image of God.
