१.हम तालिब-ए-शुहरत हैं हमें नंग से क्या काम

*अल्लाह करे ज़ोर-ए-क़लम और ज़ियादा*

३.नज़ाकत बन नहीं सकती हसीनों के बनाने से
*ख़ुदा जब हुस्न देता है नज़ाकत आ ही जाती है*

४.ये राज़ तो कोई राज़ नहीं, सब अहल-ए-गुलिस्ताँ जानते हैं
*हर शाख़ पे उल्लू बैठा है अंजाम-ए-गुलिस्ताँ क्या होगा*

५.दावर-ए-महशर मेरा नामा-ए-आमाल न खोल
*इस में कुछ परदा-नशीनों के भी नाम आते हैं*

*६.मैं किस के हाथ पे अपना लहू तलाश ��रूँ*
तमाम शहर ने पहने हुए हैं दस्ताने

७.हम को मालूम है जन्नत की हक़ीक़त लेकिन
*दिल के ख़ुश रखने को ग़ालिब ये ख़याल अच्छा है*

८.क़ैस जंगल में अकेला है मुझे जाने दो
*ख़ूब गुज��रेगी जो मिल बैठेंगे दीवाने दो*

९.ग़म-ओ-ग़ुस्सा, रंज-ओ-अंदोह-ओ-हरमाँ
*हमारे भी हैं मेहरबाँ कैसे कैसे*

१०.मरीज़-ए-इश्क़ पे रहमत ख़ुदा की
*मर्ज़ बढ़ता गया ज्यों ज्यों दवा की*

११.आख़िर गिल अपनी सरफ़-ए-मयकदा हुई
*पहुँची वहीँ पे ख़ाक जहाँ का ख़मीर था*

१२.बहुत जी ख़ुश हुआ हाल से मिल कर
*अभी कुछ लोग बाक़ी हैं जहाँ में*

१३.न जाना कि दुनिया से जाता है कोई
*बड़ी देर की मेहरबाँ आते आते*

१४.न गोर-ए-सिकंदर न ही क़ब्र-ए-दार
*मटे नामियों के निशाँ कैसे कैसे*

१५.ग़ैरों से कहा तुम ने, ग़ैरों से सुना तुम ने
*कुछ हम से कहा होता कुछ हम से सुना होता*

१६.जज़्ब-ए-शौक़ सलामत है तो इंशा-अल्लाह
*कच्चे धागे से चले आएँगे सरकार बंधे*

१७.क़रीब है यारो रो��़-ए-महशर, छुपेगा क़ुश्तों का ख़ून क्यूँकर
*जो चुप रहेगी ज़बान-ए-ख़ंजर, लहू पुकारेगा आस्तीन का*

१८.फूल तो दो दिन बहार-ए-जाँ-फ़ज़ाँ दिखला गए
*हसरत उन ग़ुंचों पे है जो बिन खिले मुरझा गए*

१९.की मेरे क़त्ल के बाद उस ने जफ़ा से तोबा
*हाय उस ज़ूद-पशीमाँ का पशीमाँ होना*

२०.ख़ूब परदा है चिलमन से लगे बैठ हैं
*साफ़ छुपते भी नहीं, सामने आते भी नहीं*

२१.इस सादगी पे कौन न मर जाए ऐ ख़ुदा*
लड़ते भी हैं और हाथ में तलवार भी नहीं

२२.चल साथ कि हसरत दिल-ए-मरहूम से निकले
*आशिक़ का जनाज़ा है ज़रा धूम से निकले*
