After reading more about the Signal for Help gesture and learning about its true meaning, I have come to realize that what I did was inappropriate and should never be done unless someone is genuinely asking for help. Regardless of the reason, this symbol should never be used as a joke or casually, because doing so can cause people to misunderstand its true purpose—just as I did.

This incident has been an important lesson for me. I also hope that my mistake serves as an example of what should not be done. No one should use this gesture lightly unless they are truly in need of help.

Lastly, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to correct me and educate me about why my actions were wrong. I fully accept responsibility for my mistake, and from now on, I will be much more mindful of the true significance of this symbol.

I would also like to sincerely apologize to survivors and to anyone who has experienced situations related to the Signal for Help. I am deeply sorry for using this symbol inappropriately.

I am not making this apology in the hope of being forgiven. Rather, I want to express my sincere remorse, take full responsibility for my actions, and acknowledge the harm I have caused.
