I'll never understand the cowardice. I mean, in normal times, if you were seeking reelection, you could rationalize a bad vote by saying you had to do it so that you could have the opportunity to vote for good things later.

But these aren’t normal times, this isn’t just a bad vote but one that strikes at the rule of law, and this guy’s political career was already over—and ended by the bad orange guy he just did a solid for.

Why not just do the right thing?
