@BravesSufferer Dude is a career .228 hitter. He is a good defensive, below average hitter. The trade was a huge loss, but he’s a good back up catcher, the only downside is what we lost to get him and the price tag.

The #Braves need to treat Murphy like a true back up catcher. Start Baldwin, DH Dom, and only use Murphy every 3 days. At some point you gotta just eat the money and realize who he is.

@ExpectedChop We will be rebuilding come 2027 anyways, so it likely doesn’t matter. We are stuck with an aging, and injury prone team. We are locked into many of these guys and won’t have the money to spend for Acuña to stay here.

@YuriyATL Because we keep running out players with an injury history as long as a dictionary then AA gets shocked when they get injured. He has shut down this teams championship window in just a few short years. It’s a shame

@scottcoleman55 I sadly think AA has shut the window. He got lucky in 2021 with his FA and trade deadline deals, and has tried to bank on luck every year since. We will miss the playoffs again in 2026 and likely looking at a rebuild come 2027.
