@JohnKincade@Phillies That’s the problem though. They don’t rise to the occasion and make the clutch play. They score runs in bunches in one game and then the bats go silent for long stretches. It’s going back to to the Houston series several years ago. Each year a worse finish
@WIPMiddayShow@JoeGiglioSports Ranger is gone. Wheeler is injured and unknown what shape he returns in. Bader was playing great in center and we’re turning center over to a rookie that hasn’t seen mlb pitching. Lineup is mostly the same. Running the same team back our and it’s hard to get excited
@philscentral_ He’s probably better than the alternatives at this point but he’s no longer a huge difference maker that should be holding the Phillies over a barrel.
@SnackMyFridgeUp Exactly this..it’s become the nba. MLB made it even easier to make the playoffs with the wildcard expansion so now you just have to stay competitive enough and coast through the regular season…
@TheGoodPhight The starters had a tough task going into the postseason without wheeler and pitched better than I could have imagined. They were even the most dominant in relief.
