FINAL, Barr-Reeve 6, South Central 0
The Vikings (32-1) win their first state title in softball, while the Satellites remain in search of their first in any sport.
Barr-Reeve pitchers combined on 12 strikeouts.
Caitlin Allen had two hits for SC.
Two more South Central errors contribute to two more Barr-Reeve runs, making it 6-0 in the bottom of the seventh.
Satellites with six errors, resulting in four unearned runs for the Vikings.
The four runs is the most SC has allowed in a game in the state tournament and is also its largest deficit. It trailed Riverton Parke 1-0 on Monday in the fifth before exploding for 12 runs.
South Central wastes a golden scoring chance in the third. With runners on second and third, Brooklyn Burns lines out to center field, but Molly Jimenez left second early (as did Payton Egolf from third) and Barr-Reeve records an easy double play to end the inning.
Still 2-0.
Caitlin Allen wins a 12-pitch battle with a single to left and continues to second on an error, but is left there as Huff strikes out Ashlen Strauch and Aby Kalinke.
