Full of rage at the decision to close @BBCSingers. Their work is enough on its own, but the place they have within the whole eco-system of singing life is crucial and we will rue this day long into the future. 1/3

I know I bang on about this but I do think it explains some recent binfires. Obviously trusts have no influence on JD pay or front door demand but too many are focussing on the top without sorting issues at the bottom, trying to make staff happy when they don’t yet feel safe.
Thunderstorm Asthma, whilst rare in the UK, poses a risks to people with asthma (and/or hay fever) triggered by grass pollen. It can be very dangerous. Here’s @LondonAllergy’s advice: pls RT here & save the image to share on other SoMe platforms! PDF at https://t.co/9967mukEKL
Please share this far & wide. Feel so sad about the #SarahEverard news and can’t even begin to imagine how her family & friends are feeling right now ❤️
“But what will it look like on darker skin?”- A question I’ve often asked myself during my time at medical school
This constant cerebration led me to curate a handbook that presents clinical features on darker skin. I hope this resource shifts the culture of medical education.
@NLondonHospice sent my kids a letter like this with their names and thanking them for going to key worker school so I could work. My kids were so touched and proud they have them on display in their rooms. @LiskClifford@frailtyjourney@FormbyVillage @Debbiebertfield
Some of geriatrics involves convincing others not to write off older people. Some of geriatrics involves convincing others not to be overzealous in investigating and treating frail older people. It’s difficult to teach (and learn!)
Very impressed by healthcare swabbing process from @NorthMidNHS. Occupational health called at 9 as my son has a fever, called back with an appt at @SpursOfficial for 11 for a swab, all done and dusted by 11.05. Thank you
@LiskClifford@PhilSheaS@frailtyjourney @GeriatricJnr @doctor_oxford @DrAnnaSteel At NMH we’ve started a “Redeployment Refreshers” series to continue training for foundation docs and to help those subspecialty trainees who have moved from paeds/O+G to medicine. We’ve shared IT knowhow from micro to make it a webinar so available for those at home.
At 94 years old, I never imagined that i'd ever be new to anything again, but i'm new to Twitter! This is my first Tweetle. This will show my grandson that I can get down with the young ones. The only problem I have, is getting back up again!
I am a medical oncologist, and a frequent part of my job is giving people bad news. Due to the pandemic I have been doing almost all of my clinic visits by phone or video the past three weeks, and I have some reflections on giving bad news remotely 1/9
I thanked my thunderously applauding neighbours on our nextdoor app for the #clapforourcarers#clapforNHS and instantly received so many messages from strangers thanking us. From an NHS worker - we heard you and it helps. 💙🥰
This is a critically important graph.
South Korea tested everyone while Italy only tested sick people. Look at ages 20-29. Young people are walking around spreading the virus even though they “feel fine”. This is why literally *everyone* needs to STAY HOME
