I think the analytics vs eye test divide ultimately comes down to a struggle to effectively communicate information to a more generalized audience.

I see it all the time when someone posts like a DARKO chart that lacks a clear description of what it means for someone who has maybe never seen something like that or in a video clip of a cool set with a caption that reads like “Spain, twist, 77, flare” without defining those any of those terms.

The best people doing content to further the discourse in both aspects are explaining their thoughts to an audience in a way that makes it learnable to a new audience instead of trying to sound like the smartest person in the room.

Again everybody stayed at school you not about to tell me about my favorite school. They did that all the way back to Allen Raye, Nardi, Randy Foye etc. like i Jalen and the crew stayed in school. Even Donte was coming off the bench. In college when your best players stay thats a huge advantage. If they don’t stay UNC runs the table. Brunson and Mikal stayed 3 years, hart was there for 4 years. You not about to sit here and tell me analytics won them chips. Jay Wright had clear NBA guys staying 3-4 years
