A strong point about Bitcoin is that it literally doesn’t matter who created it. It can be assessed on its own merits since it’s transparent and decentralized.

Unfortunately, this bill only makes stablecoins tax exempt.

This is the wrong direction to go in.

It’s bitcoin that should have a de minimis tax exemption. Stablecoins are not decentralized and they are not permissionless. They’re not real money, they’re just fiat.
