This is our economic technical design document as a working paper for an open economy game.
It is a working paper, meaning that this paper isn't meant to prove our model, rather it is our approach of what we are actually doing and why.

The biggest problem with web3 game design is that everyone thinks it's just a number of simple single fixes.
Essentially what everyone is saying is that if you follow this or that 'checklist', everything will work.
Then it doesn't and then you have 2 camps of, its not possible or they're incompetent, but after more failures everyone in this space just says, it's not possible.
Nearly no one I've spoken to in the space has a comprehensive 1st principles system approach to this. I don't even think anyone even knows what that means here.
Two root principles are true in web3 gaming:
1. there are multiple critical systems in web3.
2. all of them have their own root principle and all of them are extremely advanced.
Then the design work of putting that system together is where most games haven't even attempted.
I'll give you an example:
(a) Was Axie Infinity successful?
Yes, but in which system worked?
(b) Axie Infinity did fail.
But in what part of the system did they fail?
Even with 22 steps to create and field an Axie team from scatch, no Steam, no distribution, no real marketing - they created this market.
So why am I mentioning Axie Infinity, a product of 2021? Because no one ever bothered to just try to solve those (a) and (b) points from a system's perspective, not even Axie themselves.
All this time, 99.9% of web3 gaming projects were not trying to solve those initial problems, but just apply a simple fix.
If I take SpaceX for instance. Every single private attempt at commercial rockets failed, or even, Tesla with EV. Why did only Elon succeed and create the industry?
We all know, he is a first principles thinker.
For rockets (very simply put), on an economic basis he realized they need to be reusable.
|For EV, they needed to perform better current cars and also have the recharging infrastructure.
But even with those simple points,
how many systems would it take to accomplish those first root principles? Many.
After 4.5 years, still the same crap gets said, over and over again, and KOLs and traders, think they have the answer, and they don't then they get screwed on another project and then leave.
I never see the right questions being asked, like from anyone, KOLs, founders, or traders. I think it's part of a lack of experience, the assumption that market speculation can solve the problems anyway, and, an assumption that all our opinions are somewhat equal.

I love being in web3 gaming, because this is the most difficult form of game design ever. I continue to be in the space, because of that challenge.
Even after all these years, those closest to me in this space, still have no clue as to what the real system design of @maygnft is. I get why - if it is multiple complex systems, the game only works when all those systems are fully live working in sync.
So I don't bother trying to explain, but man, getting to the finish line is such a grind. lol. But also, even they have no clue what the first principles here are anyway.
I'll end here though and say, our game that has now taken 4.5 years of design and dev, is nothing more than solving what had yet to be solved from the case of Axie Infinity.
If you doubt that logic, think about this, from Axie till now, was there even one that came close to what Axie did? No. Axie was so successful that even now they still have enough funds to build while every other attempt (no matter how successful it seemed) is just dust.
The issue has been, no one really bother to understand the Axie case at a systems level, including Axie themselves.
If you're brave enough to comment and give your take on it, I won't bother to explain it, but I'll rate your response out of 10.
And to there other games still building out there, don't bother saying 'but we have', at this point, we all gotta put out or just die. And it's better you just die quietly. 😅
But respect, if you're in this for the challenge.
If you have a question about what we are making, just ask. Our game and objective doesn't fit into an expected playbook and we know that. But we are still swinging for the fences of the fulfilling the promises of web3.
It doesn't matter if web3 gaming is a dirty word, or if web3 gaming is dead as an industry. It doesn't matter to us if no one believes in web3 gaming or hates it. Few understood what we doing, and we've always been contrarian even within web3.
Our mission has always been to make an open economy forever game and for us web3 represents the core mechanism to see that happen.
We're coming close to the end of our soft launch period, fixing some critical bugs, gotten data that shows our model is moving the right direction and on CT we're not here to recruit players.
We were never here to just survive or get validated by others, but we've always been here to build and make something special.
An open economy forever game.
RE: $POWER
I've met the Pixion team over the years and have found them to be sincere, professional and of solid integrity.
My assessment on what happened with the massive 90% single day drop - it's easy to say its just crime - a very fair assessment, but in knowing the team, I think it was more of an operational blind spot failure on their part. I'm gonna be a massive minority here in saying so.
1. The disparity of the price from Ronin to the CEX was an operational ticking time bomb - with a massive spread from approximately 0.60 cents to 2.00. This continued for about 7 days from when this spread occurred.
2. It was an obvious mine field, a lot of traders saw this and shorted it on the CEX, waiting for the correction.
3. As far as I've been informed: The spread happened because of the limited amount of $power that was able to be bridged across. The daily bridge amount was also monopolized by a bot.
So the earning and utility was on Ronin for the token, but vast liquidity was in CEX and DEXs that were not native Ronin token of $power.
4. The amassed bridged funds or other funds were dumped ahead of a liquidity unlock for March 5th. To my knowledge the restrictions on the Ronin bridge are still in place.
So what's the conclusion?
5. For there to be such a spread in the first place for such a long period. shows a failure in the live ops management of the token.
So having a massive correction was inevitable.
Experienced traders would have played this a number of ways, but with this situation, there were a number of plays here.
Setting this up to be like this -where the spread was so big and for so long, also, points to some level of manipulation by the market makers or even an inside party that could make an easy play from this really operationally flawed circumstance.
With a web3 game, you're looking at dev ops, live ops and token ops - which is all related. The token ops part traditional game developers will have the least amount of experience with, but like a public company, the token price action matters immensely.
Coupled with the unlock of vesting liquidity, this spread should have been priority #1 to resolve as this was 1 scenario that seems obvious in hindsight, but really not at all.
The takeaway for me is how fragile this process is if the token live ops isn't a priority as trading is expected to be fully PvP - but that is what trading is. It's outside of the game, the brand, the growth narrative and the vast majority of traders are looking for the edge to take profit then move on.
I'm sure @Kam_Punia and their team is looking into all of this, to assess what happened, how to prevent it and my gut feeling is that there were obstacles outside of their control that prevented them from correcting this earlier.
I don't doubt their integrity, and this post isn't in defense of them, its a major fuck up, even as they had seemly bucked the trend for gaming token launches. But again, my gut is that the core team was not the prime driver of these results for self gain, but unfortunately they got played hard.
But with what they have raised, and their reputation, none of this plays logically that the studio itself was the deliberate architect for it. Not that it matters when looking at the results, but I'm still rooting for this studio and what they represent.
Disclosure: As another web3 game studio founder, I have bought the NFT of projects I wanted to support, so I have 1 Primordial NFT, I didn't claim any airdrop, didn't hold any $power and I would consider myself industry friends to Pixion.
gBroad
super stoked for @tankdao_xyz to be building alongside @Broad_Land, a team that actually knows everything about community and build them up from ground zero.
not to mention, they were all betting on 🐻
It’s time to bet on ourselves.
What's harder:
1. Making a sustainable web3 game?
2. Making a competitive pc game that appeals to women?
Either way, I guess we are screwed, cause we built for both 😅
Fight for love ❤️
Without realising what happened I threw majority of my liquid into my conviction plays.
@MAYGnft@fableborne@InfiniGods@TheSamuraiSaga
I'm broke now.
But rich in assets of the projects I feel will bloom this coming bull.
I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone
Despite being a creator and making videos every day, I actually don't like promoting myself
I'd rather uplift others and champion the space, and I want my work to speak for itself
However, this is an important award, and it would mean a lot to me and the people rooting for me
I feel I owe it to myself and the people who believe in me to give this my all
So I will be officially campaigning this year and doing my best to take home Content Creator of the Year
Like every year, the competition is steep, and there are a bunch of creators who deserve to win
I am rooting for them as much as I'm rooting for myself
Ultimately, this is a celebration and recognition of everyone's hard work, and I invite everyone to come together and to champion each other
Win or lose, I really appreciate every single person in this space, and I'll be happy for whatever happens
Let's have fun and let the games begin
<3
I saved the Marketing team some time with the Poster.
You are welcome 🤗 G3
Creator of the year goes beyond the Gaming Daily news, Community Tournaments, and a Perfect Smile.
Years ago, Iceyyy invited me into a creator circle of people I call family today. He has personally vouched for me countless times for opportunities and always made himself available to work out anything I may be going through.
The first time I visited the West Coast and GDC to meet all of you lovely people, we coordinated flying together just so I had someone familiar to travel with.
If my kids could vote for Iceyyy, they would. Whenever I am watching a stream or on my PC and they see me working, they ask me to "Tell Iceyyy I said Hiiii!"
Iceyyy has provided guidance and support to my new business from our planning stage and always reminds me that one day everything I am building towards will become successful if I continue to put in the work.
I have so many reasons to be biased towards Iceyyy, but I know that I am not the only one receiving the love he gives fellow creators on a daily basis. Many can share a similar Iceyyy support story.
This is his year to be recognized as Content Creator of the Year.
🚨 BREAKING: @MetaMask is launching a new PERP DEX in app + REWARDS program (likely soon)
Turning trading into a gamified experience.
Points = [redacted] 🪂
The 'insights' posts from most of the remaining web3 founders outs how much of a noob they actually were.
I wouldn't hire most of these 'founders' as interns.
*Risk2Earn- you didn't know about online poker for the last 20 years and its insight cause you add in a 2earn after it?
*Degen casino games ftw- this wasn't obvious with Stake and online casinos years ago?
*Revenue model is important- gtfo, wow what insight!
*Play2Earn can or can't work - it you're still talking about anything related to Play2Earn at this point, your a dumbass as well as being a noob.
*Gameplay token demand needs utility, traders won't buy it - holy shit, I can't believe you're not embarrassed to admit you didn't know that.
You morons just realizing now and wanna pivot to it?
Which makes everyone even look stupider when they use the term 'pivot' cause game dev doesn't work that way. If the game doesn't work, you scrap it then move on. And you scrap it at the prototype or early focus group testing phase.
I get how KOLs who know dick all can think otherwise, but for a game founder to say that is unbelievable.
Game design is actually a thing where you design for the faults and constraints you'll face, not something you iterate on after you fail after launch.
Of the remaining web3 gaming believers, if you think a team that suddenly has these 'insights' is gonna make it work, they aren't because they are effectively starting from zero again.
Just let them drown in their noobness and move on.
