I have heard from a VERY reliable source that the announcement made yesterday from the @USDOL is only part of the picture.

Other departments and agencies are joining in on investigating all aspects of H-1B visa fraud. They include the @StateDept and @USCIS.

Another VERY reliable source has said that they are looking into getting a 3-letter agency involved to make H-1B visa fraud investigations a revenue opportunity. After all, if they don't declare their rental properties on their visa applications, they may not declare them on other government forms.

A former U.S. consular officer who worked in India has stated that 90% of the H-1B visa applications she reviewed involved fraudulent documents. The claim has gained renewed attention following a major crackdown by Indian authorities on credential fraud.

Authorities busted a large-scale fake degree network operating across multiple Indian states. Key details include:

➡️11 Indian suspects were arrested.

➡️Over 100,000 counterfeit diplomas were seized from at least 28 universities.

➡️Fake degrees were sold for as little as $1,400 each.

➡️Investigators recovered printing equipment, computers, fake university seals, holograms, and forged documents.

➡️Authorities estimate the network may have produced and circulated up to 1 million fake degrees over time, many of which were used to obtain work visas in the United States.

➡️Indians account for roughly 70% of all H-1B visas issued in the United States.

Reports also indicate that 83% of Indian H-1B visa holders end up in junior or entry-level positions upon arriving in the United States, dispelling the notion that any of these workers are “highly skilled.”
