@VaporeonYaoi@EmmaEmiliaSFW I dont know on a biological end of things but the human 100% should have desensitized and trained the male to be safe around puppies before introduction. It is reckless that they didnt
This Doberman mom is protecting her puppies from their dad as male dogs generally lack paternal instincts and may view newborns as prey, toys, or intruders 🔥
@OfficialCapi in the enviroment where the human is allowing them to breed, they should also be reducing any risk factors of stress or even injury to the pups. While I agree the male will learn after being corrected by the female, it shouldnt be the dog's responsibility to put him in line.
@Isthefickleone common sense. If you're going out of your way to breed animals you shoud be also going out of your way to reduce stress, and create a comfortable and calm enviroment. It is the owners responsibility to keep them safe, and male domestic canines do not have parental instincts.
@_john92_ the breeder isnt controlling the male. it is their responsibility to keep the animals separate from eachother if they're going to be making puppies. its irrisponsible.
@Haxorus546 separate the animlas. why keep a doberman near puppies ESPECIALLY if its untrained. You shouldnt be breeding them in the first place if you cant control it
nvm i read ops thread but ear cropping needs to be regulated not banned because illegal and unsafe crops is where debilitating issues can occur in dogs. Safe, Professional and proper crops should be easy to access to avoid the alternative people will go to for crops.
I think cropping is a debatable topic but it is not comparable to disabling an animal and severing it's digits. When done properly, cropped ears do not cause arthritis, physical disability or a worse quality of life
