President John Mahama has directed the release of GHS100 million to support the operationalisation of the Ghana National Research Fund (GNRF) for 2026.

Speaking at the official launch of the Fund in Accra, President Mahama said the GNRF would help bridge the longstanding gap between research and commercial production, ensuring that innovations developed by researchers are scaled up for national development.

We were pleased to join the Forestry Commission at Oda River Forest Reserve in Bekwai for the opening of new Forest Protection Camps and checkpoint facilities.

Built in just 3 months under the UK-Ghana Forest Governance Partnership, these pilot camps will support efforts to tackle illegal mining and logging. Their impact will be monitored over the next 6 months as part of ongoing forest protection work. 🌳 #GrowTogether

Touchdown in Accra! ✈️  
A fire engine donated by @FIRE_AID_UK arrived in Ghana aboard an @RoyalAirForce C‑17 Globemaster aircraft.  
The donation to the @fire_Ghana National Fire Service, was enabled by 99 Sqn RAF as part of Project SAMARA TENAX, a project to build a community school house in Sakpe in the name of squadron member AS1(T) Sam Odotei, who sadly passed away recently.
