Jesus is my Lord and Savior, Latter Day Saint, The Books of Moses and Abraham are pure Gold!

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

The original post talks about the Book of Mormon preaching about Christ. Your comment has zero bearing on that topic.

You don’t believe the Bible, or the Book of Mormon. You also seem to think God is not powerful enough to continue to talk. So why would I care to have this discussion with you? You’re not conversing in good faith. You just want a “gotcha” moment on X. You’re a dyed in the wool Pharisee.

We are done with this conversation.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

I asked 8. 7 of them have the same answer. 8 of them all lead you to an answer that is required for a discussion you think you want to have. But you’re too focused on trying to get me to answer a question you don’t actually care about.

Let’s cut to the facts:
You don’t believe God speaks to prophets.

I however believe the Bible to be the word of God.

And with that, we can end the conversation.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

@Rultpwr @JSGleason136245 @vespa_the_goat It worked!

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

You keep quoting Galatians 5:20 like its some sort of “gotcha” 😂 you should expand your scripture reading to the verse before and the verse after. Do you drink alcohol?

I can tell you, as a member of the LDS church, and as someone who holds a valid temple recommend i have been taught my whole life to refrain from all the works of flesh. Obviously like any man, i have my struggles, but adultery is not one of them. Neither has it been for any of our leaders.

Honestly though, you should focus on the fruits of the spirit, for which it appears you have none. That can be found in the same chapter of Galatians. But most importantly, looking at your x feed, you should probably be focused on verse 26. 🤷‍♂️

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

You started the “gish-gallop” with your “sincere” question.

You’re not serious. I will not answer your non-sincere “gotcha” question, until we establish where truth comes from and why your definition of truth is stronger or better than mine.

You can’t answer that. Because you don’t know.

That was the point of my last “gish gallop” response. Until you can respond with why and where those men in the Bible, were able to receive revelation at the time they did, while already having previous revelation and why it was ok then.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

Oh, I’m sorry. You seem to hate the Mormons tho. Your fruits are very deceptive. The fruits you provide show hatred towards others not of your faith. Please show me where I went wrong. You spread false information to deceive, you praise others for doing the same, these are works/fruits of one who hates. Maybe you should take a deeper look at who you are and what you actually believe.

“Unfruitful works of darkness” 😂 what do you think that means? 🥸

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

You’re right. I’ll start telling my kids: rather than “love your neighbor” to “hate your Christians. Especially those who mind their own business and just work hard. You know, like the Mormons we used to be. Cause we can’t be Mormon anymore. I received truth from some rando on the internet!”

Thank you. That was a close one. I almost had good, kind, nice, obedient, hardworking kids there for a second. Now that I know the truth, that you just exposed to me, I will make sure my kids turn out just like you. A petulant child whining on social media about a religion that hasn’t done anything to you, but, you seem hell bent on destroying it! So glad we could join your ranks!

I just threw away the “Mormon Bible” that says “do good to all men”!

Where do I get the one that says “Despitefully hate on those you think are less than you”? Or “Spew lies about your Christian non friends so that they join you in Christs true church, which teaches to hate on them Mormons”? That’s the occult I want to be a part of! You’re the best!

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

Would love to, but first I need you to answer me a few questions:
1. Where did Moses get his information?
2. Where did Joshua get his information?
3. Where did Isaiah get his information?
4. Where did Amos get his information?
5. How was Isaiah able to prophesy when Moses already revealed the law?
6. If Galation 1:8 refers to anything other “gospel” why then do you read or allow to read the Book of Revelation?
7. What sources do you use that tell you how many books are in the Bible?
66 in the Protestants
73 in the Roman Catholic
81 in the eastern orthodox
8.Many other writings (like Esdras) that were read with the Bible before it was “canonized” are considered apocryphal. Why? Who decided that? Who told them that was ok?
You despise our claim of prophetic revelation, yet you take the word of someone you don’t even “follow” as truth.

If “convicted by law” or “he’s a bad person because ___(insert your current social norms here)” means a person shouldn’t be listened to, then that rules out the ENTIRE BIBLE:

Moses. He killed a guy. Isaiah convicted and cut in half. Judah slept with his daughter in law, Lot slept with his daughter, Sammuel cut up a guy in front of an alter, Samson slept with a prostitute and Delilah, Rueban slept with his dad mistress, Ammon sexually assaulted his half sister, Daniel slept with some other man’s wife then had him killed. Absalom slept with his dads mistresses. Paul, persecuted and killed Christians, Judas (was an apostle) Jesus was convicted and put to death, but ALSO, he chose Judas (the one who betrayed him) as one of his apostles (seems like a mistake, made by a God).

9. Why should we listen to any of these guys? Site your sources.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

@defense_of_fam Love it!

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

Bwahahahahahahahahaha! The fact you don’t see the horrible irony… remove Chad from your handle this instant.

This post makes you a Karen.

Do you know how numbers work?

There are roughly 1 million “Mormons” with temple recommends VS 220 million mainstream Christians.

Wide meet Narrow.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

I don’t think you quite understand what I said. Which should be obvious since it’s clear you don’t read, so I should know that your understanding of the English language and how it works is lacking.

Did I hurt your feelings? Me calling your inability to do actual research - was that triggering for you? I’m sorry that you won’t read a book and it retards your mental ability to move forward. I can see how you thought it was ad hominem, but I assure you, it was merely fact.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

I respond like that only to those who think they’re smart and are not. Like you 😊

You didn’t “read parts” or even “large portions” you got highlights from whatever AI you’re using and you think you know something. That’s full on mental retardation. You are willfully ignorant. Ephesians 4:18. You are your own stumbling block.

My open invitation is: read the actual book and talk to God, or shut up. Cause you know nothing

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

@jaredadairbell

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

Nice to know that I am in fact smarter than you. Thanks for confirming. I mean, I already knew that based on your assertions. But all it would take is any sort of reading and I’ve already surpassed your intelligence.

To your claim - Except one of those books confirms the Bible, the other does not.

One of them confirms that “Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God” (oh, would you look at that.. page 1, you didn’t even have to go very far, but that is too hard for you.)

Also hilarious that you used the Quran as an example, while simultaneously saying the Book of Mormon plagerizes the very same Bible you say is “infallible”.

So are you saying the Bible is wrong? Or just the parts you say are wrong? Or only if the Book of Mormon confirms specific parts of the Bible, those are wrong. You can’t have it both ways, silly.

But you go on blissfully believing whatever you want to believe. I’ll be over here preaching about Christ as my savior and that he requires repentance and baptism. 🤷‍♂️

Elder Dunn’s October 2026 talk, “The Ninety and Ten,” used a 100-mile ultramarathon as the metaphor: the Savior does not shorten the course, he helps you lengthen your stride on the last 10 percent. The foyer heard a different qualifying standard.
Wasatch 100 Registrations Surge 130 Percent After Members Decide The Last Ten Miles Might Count Toward Exaltation
MIDWAY — Race officials for the Wasatch 100 reported a 130 percent jump in registration requests before the entry form had even finished loading, traced to Saturday afternoon’s session of general conference.
Elder Michael A. Dunn of the Seventy had described being talked into a 100-mile ultramarathon, then said the Redeemer “rescues not by shortening our course but by helping us lengthen our stride,” and that after you have spent everything on the first 90 percent, the Savior meets you for the last 10. Several stakes treated this as a checklist item.
“We already knew works are generally required,” said Kyle P., a high councilor who has not run since the mile in ninth grade. “But if the last ten is where the help shows up, I would like that help to show up somewhere with an aid station and a belt buckle. I put ‘exaltation, pending’ in the emergency-contact box.”
A ward bulletin in Draper listed the race under “optional but strongly correlated ordinances,” between temple recommend interviews and the pinewood derby. One elders quorum group chat concluded that dropping out at mile 91 was doctrinally safer than never starting, “because then you’re in the ten.”
Race directors said they are not an ordinance and asked members to stop listing “lengthen my stride” as a medical condition. A Church spokesman clarified that the talk was about grace on a hard course, not a celestial cutoff time.

The talk itself was a grace metaphor, not a race entry. Dunn said completing 90 percent of a hard journey can take everything you have, and that the Savior helps finish the last 10, “not by shortening our course but by helping us lengthen our stride.”

@ThomasPaul8171 @Joellucas859782 @realbales @j_divis You’re cute. What’s great is you’re fulfilling prophesy and you don’t even know it 😊 Ether 12:23-26.
I’ll just provide the scripture. Not like you’re going to read it anyway.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

As a matter of fact… I have one. Along with all sorts of apocryphal writings. There’s truth to be found everywhere. It would be arrogant and completely ignorant of me to think others did not testify of Christ, knowing full well about the Book of Mormon. Reading sections is not equal to reading the entire thing. When you say “I’ve read large sections” what I hear “AI summarized parts of the Book of Mormon I wanted to hear to confirm my preconceived ideas of what I don’t actually know”

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

@realbales @beno22roblox @j_divis I don’t know what AI you’re using to answer these questions to which you have no answer… but it’s obvious you lack any understanding. Come back when you can use your own words.

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

Such a good question to ponder. I tend to take it as literal for the most part. Moroni tells us that he is writing/abridging it specifically for us (latter days) he talks about generalizing “Nephites and Lamanites” obviously there were more “ites” than that (he says so). But he’s making their records fit for us.

Here’s something to ponder:
Genesis says that the lord divided the waters to create the earth. There are waters above (the firmament) and waters below. That’s the only time it says that in the bible for main stream Christians.

LDS have 3 different books that say the same thing (water above the firmament). Yet somehow we believe that America landed on the moon 🤷‍♂️

Food for thought 😆

[Porter’s Rockwell @JSmithReckoning]

@Joellucas859782 @realbales @j_divis But I did. A point that doesn’t need addressing if you had read the book. Hence my original retort “incoherent” ignorant. Completely dismissing the OP’s claim about READING THE BOOK OF MORMON. 🤦🏼‍♂️
