MD, CWC Sh. Santosh Sinha and Director (Finance),CWC, Sh Niraj Priyadershi today met with Secretary (DPE) Sh. K Moses Chalai at his chamber. During the meeting, Secretary(DPE) was apprised towards the key initiatives taken by CWC towards digitisation and modernization of Warehouses. It was also informed that Warehouses are equipped with various AI related equipments like AI enabled cameras, IoTs and Sensors to enable data-driven decision, improve operational excellence and effectiveness. The Secretary (DPE) graciously accepted the invitation to grace the occasion for inauguration of Smart Warehousing System and the felicitation of Best Performing Warehouses. .

A proud milestone by CWC RO Jaipur in strengthening India’s logistics backbone.

The flag-off of the first export and coastal container rake from the newly inaugurated GCT Terminal at New Saradhana (Ajmer) to Mundra Port marks the beginning of rail operations from the terminal.

This initiative will enhance cargo movement across the Kishangarh–Beawar region, reduce logistics costs, and improve efficiency and connectivity to major ports.
A strong step towards a more integrated and future-ready logistics ecosystem.

Central Warehousing Corporation proudly announces the inauguration of the New Saradhana Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) on 20.03.2026 by Sh. Praveen Kumar, MD/DFCCIL in the august presence of Director (OP&BD), Director (Infra), GGM (BD&BA), Sh. Vineet Tyagi, GM/Coordination (Ajmer); Sh. Rajendra Singh Chaudhary, GM/Co-ordination (Jaipur) and Sh. Prince Kumar, Regional Manager, CWC, RO Jaipur.

This is CWC’s first GCT, developed over an area of 4.3 acres, equipped with modern cargo handling infrastructure and seamless rail-road connectivity to enhance efficient freight movement.

The terminal (DGSN) is expected to handle approximately 40 rakes/month (1.5 MTPA), including containers, marble, granite, minerals and other cargo. It will significantly boost first- and last-mile connectivity, linking Ajmer (Rajasthan) with major ports like JNPT, Pipavav & Mundra via the WDFC network.

श्री संजीव चोपड़ा, माननीय सचिव, खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण विभाग, भारत सरकार द्वारा 12 -13 अक्टूबर को कोलकाता दौरे के दौरान पश्चिम बंगाल में केन्द्रीय भण्डारण निगम, भारतीय खाद्य निगम एवं राज्य सरकार अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक में डिपो दर्पण तथा भण्डारण पहलुओं की समीक्षा की गई��� इस दौरान माननीय सचिव महोदय ने केभनि निगमित कार्यालय, नई दिल्ली से निदेशक (वित्त), समूह महाप्रबंधक (प्रणाली) एवं क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक कोलकाता के साथ केभनि मोगरा एवं अन्य भण्डारगृहों का दौरा किया तथा पश्चिम बंगाल राज्य में डिपो दर्पण की स्थिति का जायज़ा लिया।

Sh. Sanjeev Chopra, Honourable Secretary, GOI, DFPD visited Kolkata on 12-13 October 2025 and reviewed the progress of Depot Darpan and Storage aspects in West Bengal in a meeting with CWC, FCI and State Govt. authorities. During the visit, Hon’ble Secretary visited the CWC Mogra & Other Warehouses with Director (Finance), GGM (Systems) from CWC, CO, New Delhi & RM, CWC, Kolkata and reviewed the implementation of Depot Darpan in the State of West Bengal.
