A girl did photoshoot on a stopped van:
Rahul Gandhi called her on stage
Dimple Yadav hugged her
Uddhav Thackeray gave her award
Supriya Sule met her
Arfa called her

Meanwhile, a brave Indian pilot saved 174 lives & not a single Opposition leader has even tweeted about it
Anything that elevates India on the global stage, the Opposition seems unable to digest as if they simply do not love the country
Rahul Gandhi and his entire ecosystem remain silent as Captain Smit Machchhar’s bravery helped avert another 9/11-like terror attack.
When an Indian hero rises to the occasion, why is Rahul silent as LOP and who Congress claims as eternal PM in waiting?
Hours have passed. Tributes for Captain Smit Machchhar are pouring in from across the world after his extraordinary courage helped save 174 lives.
Yet Rahul Gandhi and the Congress ecosystem remain conspicuously silent.
This is not ignorance. He knows. He is watching the outrage. He is seeing the world salute an Indian pilot’s courage.
An Indian rose to the occasion and saved 174 lives. Apparently even that is not enough to break his silence.
What a shameful failure of basic decency.
The world is watching. And, mark my words, this defiant silence will speak far louder than any statement he could have made.

Ask these women achievers what their fathers mean to them and they'll not stop talking about their sacrifices
Meanwhile do sutta chai protesters are willing to throw their father, brother, every man out of home in their so called fight against patriarchy
Not a single tweet for Indian Pilot Captain Smit Machchhar even after so much trolling.
With this ego, you won’t become the PM of India even in your next seven lifetimes.
It was a minor philosophical disagreement about how to fly the plane. NYT now confirms that it has been satisfactorily resolved after some passengers mediated between them.
Sanction a multi million dollar PR budget to promote what the Indian captain did
This has potential to single handedly change our fortunes after 3 years of relentless attack on our image by racists
Uhm again with due respect Mam, are you seriously suggesting a conspiracy theory that literally killed an Indian Pilot and put hundreds of lives at risk as part of three countries seeking empathy/sympathy?
Mam that’s not how countries collaborate to work, maybe part of the Mecca Deal that was recently in the news but not how India deals with the world.
PS: I am opinionated columnist and soon to be author but not a journalist :-)
.@netanyahu: “We gave the British 🇬🇧 intelligence that an Iranian terrorist attack was about to take place, and the next day, they imposed sanctions on us.”
All Western countries heavily depend on Israel's intelligence to foil local terror attacks.
I bow in deep respect and salute the extraordinary courage, presence of mind and unyielding valour of Captain Smit Machchhar.
Aboard Flydubai Flight FZ1073, on its journey from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Captain Machchhar faced an unthinkable crisis high in the skies. Despite being stabbed and grievously wounded inside the cockpit, his indomitable spirit never wavered. He fought back resolutely and managed to overpower the attacker and avert a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
Through his supreme bravery he saved the lives of 174 passengers and crew on board, including citizens of Israel and other nations.
Captain Machchhar’s valour is a shining reflection of India’s timeless civilisational ethos; Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and the sacred duty of placing the safety of innocent lives above one’s own. In safeguarding human lives mid-air, his heroic act has touched hearts across the globe and further deepened the enduring bond of friendship, trust and mutual respect between India and Israel.
Captain Machchhar has made our entire nation swell with immense pride.
On behalf of the people of West Bengal, I convey our deepest appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to this brave son of India.
Our prayers are with him and his family for a swift, full and complete recovery.
India salutes you, Captain Smit Machchhar 🇮🇳
Had this man not found the courage to fight back after being repeatedly attacked with an axe capable of cutting through metal—while bleeding profusely—and had the presence mind to trigger the hijack/emergency code, initiate the emergency response and open the cockpit door to allow passengers to assist him, the aircraft’s subsequent dive could have had catastrophic consequences.
Had that aircraft not been recovered, the geopolitical consequences for the Middle East could have been profound and potentially irreversible.
Sometimes history turns on the courage, resilience and presence of mind of one person.
Yes. One Indian man.
