Sup fellow #Writing Nerds! Happy #WritersBlockWeekend. Let's get that creativity flowing to meet our new year #WritingGoals! Stuck for a new idea? Let's do some plot stretches. Pick a genre. Write as many 1 sentence plot ideas for that genre as you can in 10 minutes. Go!
@kat_devitt Music sometimes inspires me, but I don't turn to it. Prompts, usually. I just find & read as many as I can & 'what if' them. Also, 'what if' characters. Ex: Make a list of jobs that could be interesting in a weird context. I once thought about a contracts attorney for genies.
Happy Monday my #Writing people! Talk to me. What are your protagonists' and your love interests' love languages? I'm personally drawn to 'acts of service's for my emotionally distant yet lovable characters. #WritingCommunity
@ScribblingDrake I'd maybe do some research on the actual history of the legend. There's tons of weird (& not tired) stuff in there. Overly Sarcastic Productuons (YouTube) has a really good summary. I love the tired story though. I think a lot of people do. So if you're having fun, just do it! 😊
@thatskingtoyou I use a pyramid. MCs on top (names, backstories, goals, etc), then secondary (names, some Bstory), tertiary (names only) & peripheral on bottom. The further down you go, the more you can have but the less time you spend on each. Just the way I do it. I wouldn't worry too much.
