Without knowing, James Robison wrote a letter of endorsement for me when I was just a fresh-out-of-college kid.

That one act opened countless doors, and so many invitations came in that it overwhelmed our answering machine.

I traveled with him for four years during crusades, and he mentored me well. He was a generous soul who genuinely cared deeply about people.

He will be missed greatly

Dear Southern Baptist Pastor,

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, and this Sunday, May 17, thousands of people will gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to pray for our nation.

Most of us won't be there. We'll be where we're called to be every Sunday—in our pulpits, leading our churches in worship. But that doesn't mean we can't join them.

In the video below, I am encouraging you and your church to join that same spirit of prayer this Sunday.

God did a mighty work at Unite Oklahoma State last night. One of my favorite moments of the entire Spring Semester was witnessing this young lady who is deaf getting baptized. The joy that she had after she came out of the water...
