@BrokenFiction When I do, if you don't complete your attack roll(s) in six seconds or less you lose your action. I don't bother with monster/NPC rolls (other than for the sound behind the DM screen). They never miss their turn.
@OGCrimsonJester@TimothyImholt I think so, but the last time I played 2020 was the mid-90s. It's certainly one of the better 'updates' of 80s and 90s games and shows why Mike Pondsmith is a heck of a games designer.
@WizardGoesBoom Are the PC's building it themselves? If the answer is no, the PCs should still be adventuring with time passing as the castle is being built in the background. Figure out how many days/weeks passed in the last game session and that's how much time has passed on the build.

@Dustin_EgT@WardukeAtHome The system is unique much like the setting - it's not D&D or a clone which makes it refreshing. In our group, the Pathfinder guy, the 5E guy, and the two OSR guys all like it for that reason.
@Dustin_EgT@WardukeAtHome It's going good I think. For something that was going to be a one-and-done, the group wanted more. I think we've done around 6 sessions and will like finish Grey Knight in the next two or so.
@ardan_blade I thought lore wise the GB were pretty evenly split between Crusader and Warden in the run-up. Plus, they tended to be centralists on this issue which is why changing from one stance to the other wasn't much of a hurdle for them.
@WardukeAtHome My first time with it was 1996 at GenCon as a drop-in to an event. Fast forward half a lifetime and the new edition looked too good to pass up. The Twilight:2000 group I'm in wanted to do a one-shot in a totally different system, and now it's the new game we play.
@brettachapman You have to get to college courses before its really talked about but never in depth. Not even where you would think it would be - US Military History.
@DungeonNoir Oriental Adventures. 1E/2E book hit harder with my group than Dragonlance or Greyhawk did. I thought the 3E book was great too but never ran a game or created characters with it.
@TimothyImholt You need to switch over to Blind Frog Ranch. Same stuff, but those dudes do dangerous things that will have you amazed at just how narrowly they missed disaster.
