NEW: After years operating in almost complete anonymity, the top content producers of Canary Mission have been identified. The doxxing site targeting academics and activists who expressed pro-Palestine views over the last year has been used by the Trump administration to select international students for arrest, detention, and deportation--even as those using it at DHS said they didn't know who was behind the site.
The five new highest-paid writers and social media employees associated with the site that we identified are all Americans who moved to Israel years ago, and have a range of ties to American nonprofits and groups. Link below:
Seems like some people should try getting their arms twisted behind their backs and get locked in a room to figure out if they consider that domestic violence or not
A number of people on the internet are uncertain
I love this consensus among men that domestic violence against women is ok/not that bad...it's literally one of the most deadly things we will face in our lifetime as women, but it's not even a passing thought in the reactions to this online. Absolutely beyond black pilling moment
i think what is depressing for women, me included, and why some of are crying rn, is that domestic abuse of women is so excused and normalized that many men aren't even NOTICING that's what this is, and saying the story is a nothingburger like you did is a very explicit way of reminding us no one actually cares about women
@Ike_Saul I think the framing was unfortunate, and minimized what was alleged, as that is very clearly abusive behavior. She may not even have wrapped her brain around it, as it's not easy to fully grasp if it happens to you.
@AaronRegunberg Problematically rough but didn't hit her...what's a little locking a woman in a room against her will and shoving her around among friends? You are pathetic. Let's normalize domestic violence against women now bc he's on your team. Women can go fuck ourselves, got it.
@_rotimia this is so fucking depressing, this is domestic abuse and who knows where that goes. domestic abuse of women is actually a terrible thing that kills women every day and even cool lefty guys do it sometimes
@CathyYoung63@peterjhasson yeah that's absolutely abuse, and there's a lot of ignorance around domestic abuse clearly, as even men who want to go after Platner aren't even noticing that's the bad part of the story lol
@DrewSav there's obviously a serious lack of understanding happening about domestic violence, it's really nuts, many men aren't even noticing that that's the bad part of the story, it's wild
@mad___online love proving my point in your clapback that your morals, ethics and beliefs are all in service of a political aim, you just did the thing here
"During one argument, she recalled, he twisted her arm behind her back, shoved her into a bedroom and held the door closed from the other side so she couldn’t get out, telling her to remain there until she was “calm.” Eventually, Ms. Fifield said, she fell asleep and left the next morning."
Yeah, fuck that, women know that's a step on the way to hitting you
NYT: Several Women Who Dated Graham Platner Recall "Unsettling" Behavior
The Democratic candidate for Senate in Maine could be charming, women said in interviews, but some found his actions intimidating and disturbing.

@hecubian_devil but it IS domestic violence, sorry it was someone you like, but it factually is abusive behavior. he forced and locked her into a room, that's a very classic thing in abuse scenarios
@llerer Seems like this story described abuse, is there a reason abuse became unsettling behavior? Locking women in rooms physically against their will etc is a very classic escalation in domestic violence/ abusive scenarios
Pretty obvious NYT got legally scared here and tamped down the descriptions, could have easily said abusive, seems all weirdly muted like in a conscious way
