New York City voters who supported Zohran Mamdani say they can’t wait for government-run grocery stores to open.
In the video, a couple explains that the government should take over grocery stores because too many people are starving and prices would finally drop.
They argue it’s not socialism, but social democracy, and that no one should earn too much while others have nothing.
Yes, like Singapore for example - Singapore's overall crime rate is one of the lowest in the world, with a reported physical crime rate of 331 cases per 100,000 population in 2024
It’s very hard to hate Tua. He played great for most of the game but that defines his time with Miami.
Good for the majority, but when he’s bad, it’s at the worst possible times.
Let him go win an AFC championship somewhere else but I can’t do this anymore brother.
Yes Zach really fucked it there, but you’re being paid $212 million to be “that mother fucker” in those situations.
This is a brutal fucking loss man. Just gotta restart.
Is my tone "arrogant and judgemental?"
Or is it just that if one lives a non-normative, ultra-cheap life and appears to be thriving, people tend to get a little cagey?
Really, I suspect it's the latter. I have no derision whatsoever for those who live a normal, high-expense, workaday life if that's what they want to do. I say this over and over again, yet in spite of this, I am *constantly* accused of "judging" such people.
If I do even vaguely "judge" anyone, I guess it'd be those who live the "normal 9-to-5 life" and constantly complain, appear to despise it, and reject any alternatives to it whatsoever. A large part of what I "do" here is to remind such people that they have no real need to suffer through the grind if they do not wish; there are always other paths, especially in 2025 America.
I remind them of this because I have many times seen "reluctant grindset" people who feel extremely trapped suffer awful mental breakdowns or even take their own lives. I've heard dozens of suicidal confessions from such people as a hitchhiker, and have talked down several actively suicidal people who just couldn't take it anymore. I'm here to remind them that they might consider moving to Massena NY and going fishing everyday rather than jumping into a noose.
And judging by the hundreds of DM's I get every year (from people who say things like: "I quit my corporate job and moved to small-town ND and I love it!" and so on) I believe I am actually helping people with this message of mine!
The amount of folks on here who hate me, slander me, have me blocked, etc is insane. I have many "hate clubs" that circulate my posts, constantly watching.
I really don't get it.
Just a free-born American using his 1st amendment rights on X. No real idea what the ruckus is!
I poured my heart and soul (and a decade of research) into this piece. This is the first time anyone has ever mapped the whole field of autism causation studies (more than 850 articles) in one place. I hope you will read it and share it with others.
