New Believers should be following the Lord and following mature Believers who are following the Lord. This is not only in the matters of what we are to be doing and not doing but also in the suffering that comes from the world as we live for the Lord.

We should be thankful for power of Word of God in our lives and other people’s lives.
The Word of God is:
1. To be heard.
2. Not to be received as the word of men but as the Word of God.
3. The truth.
4. Working effectually in those who believe it.

Believers are to be labouring and travailing to preach:
1. The gospel of God to the lost for salvation. (v9)
2. That out of salvation grows sanctification which is a walk worthy of God. (vs 10-12)

Believers should not be desirous of things from others as takers but rather be known as givers. From a heart of love we should give ourselves to others.
