There are 38 abattoirs in England and Wales that are halal.

71% of all sheep and 22% of all chicken slaughtered in the UK are slaughtered using a halal method, which to the say the least, is agony for the animals.

This is completely unacceptable and disproportionate considering the official data shows that 6% of the UK population are Muslims.

Time to ban halal. According to the Muslim Council of Britain, many Muslims would leave in that situation.
