Was Malcolm X’s grandson also assassinated? Malcolm Latif Shabazz was killed in Mexico City in 2013 in what media portrayed as a bar fight over an unpaid bill, but his supporters blame on “US and Zionist intelligence networks.”

￭ Raised in a family torn apart by COINTELPRO and his grandfather’s assassination, Malcolm Jr had a rough childhood, and discovered revolutionary Islam while he was incarcerated.

￭ He studied Shia Islam in the seminary of the Sayyeda Zainab shrine in Damascus, then embarked on a journey of activism in the US, also visiting Venezuela, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Libya, meeting with leader Muammar Gaddafi a week before the NATO attack began.

￭ As he became more public and vocal, he faced increasing federal surveillance and targeted arrests, and warned he was a target for assassination. At 28 years old, he was killed, and there still aren’t clear answers.
