I do not think FCC should regulate the internet. Since its been evolving rapidly, government regulations will probably not keep up on pace with advancement in technology. As well individuals produce their own content and their is concerns that regulations may hinder.#MEDIA1801D04
@AlexanderC82X I agree with you because there are now shows that caters to a specific group of people. Dividing shows into categories letting people watch them in their own time. While broad range wide shows are not longer the big thing than it was.
@nottheoneno I agree because with the emergence of streaming services it made it possible for people to watch unique shows. While traditional network programs were made for a broad audience, ranging from children to adults.
Cable has been disruptive in community bonding. As shows and movies are now available on demand, people are no longer gathering around at the TV at a certain time to watch shows. While in traditional broadcast popular shows aired once to engage a sense of community. #MEDIA1801D04
@Obravo5115 I agree since each business uses the same image and adds its own caption to server its own goals. According, to Pepsi, Coke is simply Pepsi under a costume. Coke claims that Pepsi is imitating like a child in a costume while doing the same.
@AlexanderC82X I agree that the ad is making the comparison between driving recklessly and using a gun. As it says "takes one life every 25 seconds" implies that drivers should use extra caution. Since using a gun could instantly kill someone, its comparable to operating a car.
This ad is for parents and adults of legal drinking age as the target audience. Is to demonstrate that beer cans can be reused. While for teenagers in this example are not made of plastic, and if the driver choose to make the wrong move, they are killed. #MEDIA1801D04
@hannah68665232 I agree with the statement as the right of free speech
in social media will come with drawbacks since some people will take advantage of it. To spread disinformation in social media under the name of freedom of speech, but makes it possible for people to engage in debates.
@jeremiahbeaufi1 I agree with your statement because freedom of speech has been entirely eliminated in countries like China. People can use social media to spread their ideals throughout the internet while remaining anonymous. Enabling for the thriving of freedom in a harsh environment.
This is more successful because with personal experience I find that the mainstream media often has their own agenda. As they are fixed on specific issues and are pressured from the government as they are easily controllable.
I believe social media foster the political system of democracy/freedom. As Social media provide vast amount of information that is accessible to everyone. Allowing people to stay informed about issues that are going on and to engage in political discussions. #MEDIA1801D04
#2 reason why because it can expose any corruption within the government and raise public awareness. This allows to mobilizes support for anti-corruption protests without the mainstream media.
