@CrossroadsToday Do not encourage burning AT ALL. Burn Ban Court Orders are written for 90 day periods UNLESS lifted earlier by order of the county judge.
Friends and followers,
After much prayer and consultation with my family I have decided not to seek the Republican nomination for a fifth term as county judge.
I thank all who supported me along the way. Your friendship means a great deal to me.
As of 5:00 PM I have issued an order closing county offices on Monday, July 8 due to TS/Hurricane Beryl. Commissioners Court also cancelled and will be rescheduled. Normal business on Tuesday, July 9.
In an abundance of caution toward county patrons and county employees I have issued an executive order that closes county offices on Monday, July 8.
Normal operating hours should resume on Tuesday as the threats posed by Tropical Storm Beryl advances inland.
@TracesofTexas Caro’s writings are such an eye opener. I’ve enjoy the first three. Number four on the table. If nothing else, read about the opening of the Hill Country to the first settlers in the chapter named, Trapped. Then go on to learn about how poverty and rejection shaped LBJ.

@larry_kudlow “Going to the mat” is not the same as “going to the mattresses.” First reference is to a boxing/wrestling match. Second, is sleeping together. LOL
@CrossroadsToday@cuerorecord@Vicadvocate Effective immediately, County Judge Daryl Fowler has lifted the Outdoor Burn Ban. Anyone desiring to burn brush is encouraged to call 361-275-5734 and inform 911 dispatch personnel of their intent to burn.
