@RepTenney@POTUS Good thing you’re not on camera, b/c I can’t imagine how you’re keeping a straight face. Your vote for BBB has stripped workers of healthcare, food assistance, etc., all to shovel tax benefits to the rich.
@RepTenney I see you’re starting to get scared, resorting to insane exaggerations. #talbotslady, folks actually want govt that works for the people instead of the rich.
My latest in Boston Review: on the 250th and a bumper crop of good books about the Revolution and its afterlives. Oh yeah, Ken Burns too.

@RepTenney Per usual from you, a complete distortion. This is about cleaning up law covering surrogate or adopted children. How about doing your job in DC?
@RepTenney This is an outright perversion. When Congress was debating 14th, framers were challenged with the fact it would make the children of Chinese workers citizens. They cheerfully admitted that it would.
@rachbarnhart@RachelMayNY Well, the petition system has completely broken down. I think Ryan’s system would end up with many more races being contested.
@rachbarnhart The Democratic Rural Conference of NY State has been working for the last several years to convince Albany that petitioning to get on the ballot has become almost impossible in rural counties. Would love to discuss further.
@rachbarnhart@RachelMayNY Unfortunately, the system Senator May’s bill envisions would take years to implement. We’re promoting a bill carried by Chris Ryan that would allow local committees to advance candidates to the ballot just like the state party can: win 25% of the committee vote, and you’re on.
@BobDuffyROC@NickLangworthy@RochesterChambr The Democrats have introduced 5 bills that would fund TSA, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service, etc., everything but ICE and CPB which need reform. The GOP has blocked them all. You are amplifying the GOP phony story that they aren’t to blame for airport lines.
