Quite by chance yesterday via our local church, we interacted with a young 20 something girl, we gave her a lift so as not to be late for a new job.
She was beautiful, polite, gracious and obviously learning English . Her name was Mariam.
I asked where she was from originally , she said Eritrea .
She'd been in a refugee camp in Ethiopia for three years, she described it as just filth, overcrowded and desperate. Death from malnutrition and disease was a daily occurrence.
She has no family left .

Life in Eritrea was brutal for this young Christian woman, let's just say atrocities were committed that no woman deserves. The police stop and search for no reason and girls like her fall prey to unscrupulous goings on by those with even the least tangible authority.
When I asked if she missed home, she teared up and dropped her head, she just said I can never go home . I didn't push it.

I'm giving you this background, because I want you to understand my thought process. This isolated young girl is deserving case for shelter. She patiently lived in a squalid camp in Ethiopia for years, waiting to be selected like a dog in a rescue centre.

She didn't know where she would end up or what her future holds. She's cleaning for work, she has nothing, but she described herself as very lucky to have a room to herself where she could sleep in a clean bed through the night without fear.

The problem isn't the genuine refugee like Mariam, the problem is the political class, who have allowed our refugee scheme to be utterly swamped with chancers, illegal arrivals and a dangerous criminal class, which has made everyone suspicious.

Rather than admit failure , they label those that complain about the saturation of wrong doers, rise in crime, stretched services and the threat to public safety as racist .

We're not‼️

We are mostly reasonable people capable of identifying genuine need, and willing to share a place of safety for authentic cases .

The abuse of the system because our political class, incapable of organising things properly, with stricter vetting and a cap on capacity has caused everything that's gone wrong with this system
It's become a free for all !

After daily saturation of videos and stories of the lunatics and criminals you see in clips on social media It's important not to forget there are genuine people out there that are deserving of help to make the safe .
Not rich, not better off than us, just safe.

My mother is an immigrant who has been in this country over 50 years. The thought of her becoming a second class citizen is outrageous.

BUT. The reality is that for the last decade, citizenship has not been earned. It has been handed out to people who see it only as a cash cow. Society then has ALREADY been split, into those who value being British, and those who are here to exploit citizenship for personal gain.

Er … remember when remote control of your heating was a “conspiracy theory”?

Well now it’s government policy.

By the end of 2027, licensed companies will be able to remotely reduce or shift heat-pump heating to “balance the grid”.
And the infrastructure is being built into the system.

(Don’t worry you won’t HAVE to use it, except if the government decides it’s and ‘emergency’)

So, the Tories had 60,000 British care home workers fired for not taking an experimental injection, replaced them with Africans and Indians, and then gave out multiple family visas for every one of them that arrived.
