@onyeka_chii VAT depends on tracking formal transactions. The Southeast's economy is dominated by unregulated markets and SMEs, while many large industries are non-operational. This makes it hard to collect tax revenue.
Products made by Southeasterners are often sold elsewhere…
@onyeka_chii The low VAT generation in southeastern Nigeria is largely due to a weak formal economy, as most economic activity happens in the informal sector or is exported outside the region. This is compounded by poor infrastructure and insecurity, which deter formal investment.
@Jerryebune@linmeitalks Good job Jerry. Can also add that immigrants pay out of pocket for their children who attend Nursery—at least until a certain age. The don’t qualify for the 15-30 hours. These are some of the public services funded by NI and tax.
Today, I’m releasing never before seen intelligence revealing new evidence of past US government funding for more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries, including Ukraine.
In support of President Trump‘s Executive Order to end federal funding of dangerous gain of function research around the world, and increase transparency and accountability, ODNI will continue working with partners across the Administration to identify where these labs are, what pathogens they contain, and what “research” is being conducted.

@HAHayatu@jalobodi Just look at how you sat down and gave figures confidently. Someone that doesn’t live in the UK will think you are smart. Ignorance with a touch of confidence! Lol!
@HAHayatu Like I’ve always said: Atiku is the only candidate who logically has had a diminished vote. Tinubu has the power of incumbency plus governors while Obi has Kwankwaso, a stronger northern ally. So which votes has Atiku actually gained?
Atedo Peterside, the founder of IBTC Bank (now Stanbic IBTC), says that society is rigged against young people. Rules have been put in place so they don't succeed.
Nigerians, as they got older, kept on changing the rules to make sure young people didn't repeat what they did.
@Urchilla01 Yes, I totally agree. O I & Tinubu are the only ones that have upped their game. While PO fortified himself with a strong Northern alliance, Tinubu upped his game with the power of incumbency. Atiku on the other hand regressed; lost governors, and hence; states.
@yommie2025@MrMekzy_ So if we don’t pray; his will, which maybe for us to be dead or alive, will not be done?
In order words, if his Will is for us to die, and we pray, we shall still die.
