→ What is Useful Proof of Work (uPoW)?
$Qubic's network uses a system called Useful Proof of Work to stay secure and fair. Instead of having every miner solve the same problem, each miner gets a custom puzzle tied to their unique ID. Only they can solve it, which makes the system highly secure and resistant to cheating.
→ How is it different from traditional Proof of Work?
In traditional Proof of Work systems like $BTC, powerful machines (called ASICs, which are built solely for mining a single type of cryptocurrency) dominate the network. This creates an unfair advantage for those who can afford high-end hardware.
$Qubic flips that. With uPoW, puzzles are personalized and non-transferable, making the system ASIC-resistant by design.
It’s CPU-friendly, meaning regular machines can mine efficiently, leveling the playing field and opening up mining to everyone.

uPoW avoids the energy waste seen in traditional mining. It runs efficiently on standard hardware, reducing electricity costs and making mining more accessible to the average user.

Because the work actually has real-world utility. Instead of solving meaningless math:
