• Fault tolerance: 2027 lab target. Manufacturable/commercial reality: 2028 target.

• New full-stack Shor study estimates ~20,000 physical qubits could break secp256k1 signatures in ~26 days—roughly the scale IonQ says it is building toward for 2028. Massive implications for Bitcoin.
