The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect. Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.
This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
Remember when Musk challenged the World Food Program to explain how he could solve world hunger with just $6 billion, they did, and he just completely ignored them?
My gf said something to me a while ago that I really thought about.
"I wonder what homeless numbers would look like if we counted people who had to move in with family cause they couldn't afford a place in their own."
this is just how coordinated smears work, have the people in the uk learned nothing from the corbyn saga? the british elite from labor to reform do not fear racism and xenophobia, they welcome it over a real change to the status quo which the greens represent!!
If you spent the Morrison years furious at his secrecy, at his obedience to the corporate death cult, and at his fawning to American ruling class power, but you're not bothered by the identical caricteristics in Albanese, you're not into politics, you're into team sports
A simple mistake. The same way Neuer gifted Madrid a goal only last week. Happens to the best. There are multiple ridiculous goalkeeping moments in the men‘s UCL every year, you call them washed for a day & move on. When it’s women you question the whole sport. Double standards
The PM and other major party politicians are getting their figures from the gas industry rather than the ATO and Treasury 🤯
Whose side are they on?
When you try and interrogate these figures from the gas lobby you get “PAGE NOT FOUND”.
You cannot make this stuff up!
Head to https://t.co/dcjuwV2f9S to get involved.
The only way we win this is if the major parties know they will continue to lose votes at the next election if they don't put Australians first.
Konrad Benjamin on fire in today’s gas tax inquiry, says those claiming “we can’t afford anything” are full of it, & we have plenty of resources to benefit from
“This gas issue is the perfect eg of how it’s a lie”
“We’ve been sold out”🔥 #auspol@punterspolitix@TheAusInstitute
The govt still hasn't released the $5 million in emergency surge funding the food relief sector has been calling for to help Australians who can't afford to eat BUT comes up with $20 million for an advertising campaign telling us to use less fuel?
Surely we can fund food banks to help them deal with record levels of demand?
