Julien's Auctions presents The Dave Brubeck Collection, a September 17 online sale drawn from the pianist's personal archive.

At the center is the original artwork behind one of jazz's most recognized album covers. S. Neil Fujita's abstract painting became the cover of Time Out in 1959, the record that gave the world "Take Five."

The collection also includes the Baldwin SD-10B grand piano and bench from Brubeck's Wilton, Connecticut home studio, offered with the piano bearing his signature. Boris Artzybasheff's original Time magazine cover art from November 1954, a pair of his and hers Rolex Oyster Perpetual watches, and handwritten scores and fragments from his standards round out the sale.

Before Ultraman became a global icon, its story ran through Thailand.

Sompote Sands trained under Eiji Tsuburaya at Toho Studios in the early 1960s, was on set for King Kong vs. Godzilla, and went on to co-produce Jumborg Ace & Giant and Hanuman and the Seven Ultramen with Tsuburaya Productions itself, blending Japanese kaiju spectacle with Thailand's own mythology.

Now, over 300 artifacts from Sompote's personal archive head to auction for the first time. Production suits. Original Tohl Narita paintings. The camera he carried on the set of King Kong vs. Godzilla.

Julien's Auctions presents Tony Bennett: The Art of Benedetto, a September 18 online auction of paintings and sketches by the legendary singer, working under his birth name, Anthony Benedetto (@itstonybennett).

Bennett began drawing at age five with sidewalk chalk outside his childhood home in Queens, and he sketched or painted nearly every day for the rest of his life, often capturing the view from a hotel window while on tour. He kept his two careers deliberately separate, signing every canvas "Benedetto" so the work could stand on its own.

The collection includes a self portrait of Bennett with Lady Gaga, his charcoal portrait of Dave Brubeck, a still life set in front of a window overlooking the city, a landscape of Capri, and a portrait of his wife, Susan Benedetto. Together they trace the eye of a man who studied at New York's High School of Art and Design and went on to place his paintings in the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.
