“ I am an African. I owe my being to the hills and the valleys, the mountains and the glades, the rivers, the deserts, the trees, the flowers, the seas and the ever-changing seasons that define the face of our native land.”
@subliminaIIy Funny how people are choosing to miss the part where you said “every nation's best player plays somewhere else”. They keep naming players that are not the star of their of the national team 🤣🤣🤣
@mathieucordier@Jonukas94 It was not your post so you can’t positively state that it was “it was not”.
Top five doesn’t mean he is THE best it means he’s replaceable.
@mathieucordier@Jonukas94 At Bayern he is properly assign a role which is that of the enforcer (brawn) and there are a lot of defenders at this World Cup that can do that.
I assumed “Germany” in the original post was used as a synecdoche for all teams at the World Cup.
@floooorianp@Jonukas94 If France were Liverpool, Upamecano would be Konate (brawn) and Saliba would be Van Dijk (brain). The reason they’ll struggle against real attackers is that Deschamps has fail to properly assign them.
France is beatable. Their defence is wobbly and they don’t know how to utilise Saliba. The game flow is supposed to be controlled by the midfielders but the attackers are doing all the work. They lack that stabilising factor.
@equipenatciv We had no business losing to Norway. The team failed at taking chances & managing the game. Emerse Faé needs to go back to the drawing & improve on his management skills. He has quality players that can win against any team in the world, they need to believe that they can do it.
@agyeitah Morocco players are not better than Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire or Senegal. The Moroccan players are better coached. They are confident, they fear no one and know how to manage games. The 2022 World Cup run also boosted their confidence and made them believe they can take on anyone.
@AishaDaughter These guys were told that playing for a European country would boost their marketability & earning potential.
They’ve learned that it was all a ruse to keep them from strengthening African teams. Remember when they used to call up players to chain them and never call them again?!
