While the NC government is too engrossed inaugurating Tulip Gardens & kicking off marathons an alarming & dismaying development went unnoticed - recently declared JKAS results. Out of 90 selected only 34 account for the Open Merit category.

Merit Apartheid continues unabated & unchecked in J&K well over a year after the CM promised to implement findings of a sub committee report & rationalise reservation. Instead they are normalising the gradual elimination of OM aspirants from government jobs completely .

Ironically the systematic seclusion & exclusion of OM students is being implemented by a high on power National Conference which promised to rationalise reservation. But is doing the absolute opposite by gutting the dreams & futures of Open Merit students who deserve a fair chance at merit, jobs & dignity of life.
