IMOLE CAMPAIGN COUNCIL COMMENCES POST-ELECTION REVIEW, DIRECTS DOCUMENTATION OF ALL VICTIMS OF ELECTORAL VIOLENCE
The leadership of the Imole Campaign Council has commenced a comprehensive post-election review following the conclusion of the Osun State Governorship Election.
As part of this process, the leadership has directed our structures across all Local Government Areas of Osun State to immediately begin the documentation of every person affected by violence before, during and immediately after the election.
This exercise must capture persons who sustained injuries, families who lost loved ones, persons whose properties were damaged or destroyed, and other identifiable victims of election-related violence.
Importantly, this exercise is not party-focused. Every victim must be documented irrespective of political affiliation, party membership or voting preference. Violence against any citizen diminishes us all, and no family should be forgotten simply because of their political persuasion.
While we are grateful to God and to the people of Osun State for the outcome of the election, we recognise that our victory cannot erase the pain of families who suffered losses or injuries in the course of the electoral process.
The Campaign Council believes that responsible leadership requires us, after the political contest, to account for the human consequences of the process and ensure that the experiences of victims are properly documented.
Accordingly, all Local Government structures have been directed to submit comprehensive and verifiable records of affected persons for further review and appropriate action.
The election is over. Our common humanity must now take precedence over political differences.
Osun comes first.

@CFC_OBED I don’t want him to leave this season, he would be vital for us especially at wingback position which Estavao and Quenda aren’t that good at.
The re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country under the All Progressives Congress administration.
I called Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him.
I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election.
I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land.
I must also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
May our democracy continue to thrive and be strengthened
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President
@yeankhar It wouldn’t work that way in Osun or any Yoruba state. In this coming Presidential election, Tinubu will easily get over 500k votes in Osun state even without Adeleke endorsement.
