A photo I took a couple of weeks ago, and the first version of my 3D recreation of the area I’ve just finished.
The first small step for this big project of mine on the battle which took place there (and others 👀).

Some time ago I found rarely seen footage of the Pointe du Hoc assault by the Rangers in Normandy, D-Day 1944, and reconstructed the landing in 3D.

Last year, I found rare footage of the Pointe du Hoc assault. June 6, 1944.

It sat lost in the National Archives.
I will try to post a full breakdown of what we're seeing here exactly on my Youtube channel next week!

The Maison Gambier is gone now, and a campsite sits on top of the cliff, so it’s hard to visualize what really happened in this small area.

Every time I go there, this part of the beach is almost always empty.
