@maenadea@elsathora They're people. You can talk to them and go to their buffet restaurants. It helps if you grew up knowing Christian homeschoolers, and know when not to talk about Lady Gaga or the new Wii games.
@Hapless23 I guess I should have specified space travel, although it's a bit broader than that. I still like looking through telescopes, and loved seeing the eclipses (2 solar and ? lunar).
I just used to be so pumped about the Shuttle, and reading about Gemini and Apollo missions.
@norlandstoodim I know that while UVA rays (longer wavelength) stay pretty consistent with Sun angle, and age skin deeply, UVB (sunburn) rays only start to get intense (or appear at all?) when the Sun is above 45 degrees. Worst UV indexes are when it's above 65, which it is here for 3 months.
@norlandstoodim My peopleâ˘ď¸ didn't come from very far north, so it doesn't make sense that we would be so pale, but if I'm doing the rough math right, where I live now, the Sun gets higher in the sky from ~beginning of April to ~September 10th than it ever does where you are.
