Junior Hub

At Junior Hub, there’s no such thing as a silly question, your question won’t get thrown out, come and join us and lets get learning!

[Junior Hub @JuniorHubDev]

Junior Hub was created as a warm fuzzy environment specifically for Junior Devs and Code Newbies!
Starting out as a Code Newbie, it isn’t uncommon to feel out of your depth and overwhelmed, we all feel like this (and not even just at the start!).

[Leeds Front End @LeedsFrontEnd]

Junior hub (https://t.co/FdXPAarJiQ) is nation wide, we're very lucky we can use our online platform for this and mentoring can be virtual which eases the location obstacles. Please share so we can reach people.

Thanks

If you would like to be a mentor for this please comment below and we will send out the relevant online forms to get you on board. Also if you want to help us organise this please message us.

At LFE we've been wondering how we can help the Black lives movement the best way we can with the tools we have. Partnering with the Junior Hub Slack community the aim is to create a mentorship programme for people from Black/ ethnic minorities. We need your help. (1/3)

Things I wish I'd known before I started my career:

1) It's more important to be reliable than smart.

2) Hard work is rewarded over time, never quickly.

3) Hard work brings more luck.

4) Don't worry about 'where this is going'. Keep at it.

5) Quit if you are not appreciated.

So my aim for next year is to MC a conference.

If you organise a conference, know of someone who does, or know of a conference looking for an MC, I'd love to chat!

RTs appreciated!
