Happy to share that KIIT has achieved another proud milestone in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, securing the 101–200 global rank band and 4th position overall in India.
KIIT had a very humble beginning, but it has made its mark globally through rankings, accreditations and quality education. Today, KIIT stands with confidence among the reputed universities of the world. In India too, it has made a significant impact as a leading university.
KIIT has secured:
• 1st position in India in three SDGs — SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 14: Life Below Water, and SDG 16: Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
• 2nd position in India in two SDGs — SDG 9: Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure, and SDG 15: Life on Land.
• 3rd position in India in three SDGs — SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 6: Clean Water & Sanitation, and SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy.
All remaining SDGs are within the Top 10 in India.
Slow and steady wins the race, and this journey of KIIT proves that sincere effort, discipline and faith always bring results. This recognition belongs to all our students, faculty, staff and well-wishers of KIIT & KISS. We will continue to work with humility and responsibility for a better and more sustainable world.

Very happy to meet the international experts who have come to Odisha for the FIVB Volleyball workshop under Kanya Kiran. Interacted with Mr John Kessel, Ms Jana Kulan, and Mr Joe Rueben. Their presence adds great value to our efforts in women’s volleyball and grassroots training.
Happy to welcome Mr. Fabio Azevedo, President of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), and his wife Mrs. Flavia Azevedo to KIIT & KISS today.
Our association with FIVB has grown steadily over the years, built on a shared belief that sports can change lives.
Very happy to have welcomed 13 delegates from Seattle University & 15 delegates from the University of Houston to KIIT & KISS as part of our India Trek initiative. Over the years, India Trek has brought students and teachers from many universities across the world to our campus.
More than 2,000 girls came together to play, learn and grow through volleyball. Watching their confidence, energy and happiness touched my heart. This initiative is closely linked to my outreach programme Kanya Kiran, which I see as a ray of sunshine for girls and their future.
I am verry happy to see the Volleyball Mahakumbh at KIIT & KISS taking shape as a true festival of girls’ empowerment. This special programme, held exclusively for girls, was launched by Mr Fabio Azevedo, President of FIVB, in the presence of 11 senior functionaries from FIVB.
Happy to share that Mr Fabio Azevedo, President of the FIVB, has been conferred with KISS Lifetime Achievement Award. This honour is a small expression of our gratitude for his lifelong dedication to volleyball and his constant support for young sportspersons across the world.
I feel humbled to share that FIVB President Mr Fabio Azevedo has announced his proposal to include me as a Board Member on the Strategic Council of the Volleyball Foundation under the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) from next year.

Inauguration of the KIMS–Subhra Rural Hospital today at Kanchisole, Betnoti —a very remote rural village in Mayurbhanj district. Kanchisole is the native village of Shri Girish Chandra Murmu Ji, a respected policymaker and one of the most people-friendly IAS officers from Odisha.
For me, seeing these smiles has become a hobby and a blessing. It makes me feel peaceful and reminds me why KISS exists—to give love, care, and comfort to children who need it the most.
KIIT-DU collaborattes with Apollo Tyres Ltd. to introduce a special elective on Tyre Technology for our engineering students. This is the first of its kind that a tyre company and a university are bringing tyre science, design and manufacturing into the academic curriculum.
Happy to be with the parents and little children at the Preterm Health Mela organised by the Neonatology Department of KIMS today. Our neonatal unit has been taking care of thousands of newborns over the last ten years, and seeing these children grow healthy gives me great joy.
