in my opinion, this collection of photos shows that joong isn't simply trying to make dunk look "good", but is more interested in capturing how dunk looks when he's simply being himself. almost all of the photos feel candid; dunk rarely looks at the camera, and there are lots of side profiles, back views, little gestures, and surrounding environments being kept in the frame. even things that might technically be considered "distracting", such as blurred foregrounds, slightly dark exposure, or framing that isn't perfectly clean, are left as they are because they become part of the moment. it feels like joong isn't just photographing dunk's face, but also his habits, activities, little expressions, and the way he interacts with the space around him. 😄✌🏻
and i think this is the most telling part. if someone simply wanted to take a good portrait, they could easily go: pose ➡️ lighting ➡️ angle ➡️ expression ➡️ click. but a lot of these photos were taken when dunk WASN'T EVEN TRYING to look good. he's eating, reading, sitting at the airport, on a plane, getting his makeup done, busy taking photos of something, or even almost disappearing into the darkness. that means the photographic value doesn't only come from "the subject (dunk) is naturally attractive", but also from the fact that joong pays attention to these little moments. 🥹🤏🏻
that's what makes these photos feel so intimate and personal; it gives the impression that joong genuinely enjoys observing dunk, even when he's not doing anything particularly special. if a typical portrait feels like "hey, look at this person", joong's photos of dunk feel more like "look at dunk when he doesn't know i'm looking". and i think that's exactly where the sense of fondness and tenderness in this collection comes through the most. not necessarily in a romantic sense; we can't conclude that from photos alone. but visually, there's definitely a sense of fondness in the way joong observes dunk. [my point opinion]
it's almost like: "i like looking at you even when you're not doing anything special". and to me, that feels much more personal than simply taking someone's picture when they're looking their best. joong doesn't photograph dunk merely as a subject; he photographs the little moments in which he seems to genuinely enjoy watching dunk simply exist. 😄🖤
"there’s a difference. i like the way he looks with a bare face, quite handsome" - joong archen

No one does it like Joong. 📸🤏🏻
Every picture of Dunk was taken by Joong, and honestly, he wasn’t lying. 🥹💗 Dunk looks absolutely radiant in every shot.
It’s not the camera… it’s the way Joong looks at Dunk. 😭✨

SKYYY.. THANK YOU SO MUCH POSTING THIS PHOTO FROM SKY.. AND REWARDING US...
(SO THEY BOTH ARE SITTING TOGETHER.. WITH THAT LOOK AT MY BABIES SLEEPING SO CUTELY.. AND DUNK ALWAYS STYLISH 😭👀)
Dunk always looks extra adorable in Joong’s photos, soft, silent, and so natural. Everyone else is looking at the camera, while Dunk is just doing his own thing. And as usual, he’s in the last photo.
