This is exactly how shared universe storytelling should work. Bringing Guy Gardner into Lanterns doesn’t feel like a cheap, look who showed up cameo. He’s actually there to challenge John Stewart and push the story forward. Guy’s loud, obnoxious energy is the perfect foil to John’s grounded, disciplined mindset, creating immediate friction without bogging down the mystery in clunky exposition.

It makes the DCU feel like a real, functioning world where other Lanterns exist on their own terms, proving the writers actually care about character dynamics instead of just checking off fan service boxes.

@julianmiflaco That said… I fully love that Megara from Hercules is like a grown ass woman / older than Herc. So her not being a “Disney Princess” makes so much sense. & fits her personality well.

So like, I do get where some make distinctions with characters

@julianmiflaco Honestly for me its not so much branding but more “vibes”. To me they’re Disney Princesses cause they just hit all those marks. As do many Disney leads, even those who aren’t necessarily royal.

But much like everyone else, the negatives are kind of weighing it down for me. Its AI use really doesnt bode well for the future of these films
