And yet, a missed opportunity! Two things can be true. The women who performed have large platforms. There are many male r&b singers who, including the artist I quoted below, deserved a boost to their artistry by being apart of that performance. BET always misses the mark.
And also be clear that there is no “shortage” of Male R&B talent that could’ve paid tribute. That just wasn’t the direction chosen. That in no way means we aren’t out here. Please kill that narrative. That was just a moment for the Ladies & that’s cool too!
