😡GOVERNMENT BLOCKS FOI REQUEST BECAUSE OF NEED FOR ‘SAFE SPACE’😡
What is the point of participating in yet more consultations when @UKLabour refuses to publish the results of the last one?!
The system feels rigged to favour deep-pocketed vested interests.
🚨 The government has just BLOCKED the release of the results of the ground rent consultation.
@UKLabour urged leaseholders to engage with it when in opposition – now they’re in charge, they’re burying the results.

A Freeholder’s Fear of Bankruptcy https://t.co/TtWpeiSdQQ - what about leaseholders facing the loss of their homes? What about buyers unable to get mortgages? What about people unable to sell? @ALEPofficial - never seen you once give a stuff about leaseholders. @FreeLeasehlders
Freeholders are facing a class action from leaseholders over claims that they have pocketed up to £480m in secret commissions for building insurance.

I feel sick for these poor people; buying a newly-built home is a hugely risky endeavour.
How will @UKLabour grow the UK when the homes we build are so dangerously defective?

This.
The same story over and over again.
Lawyers for developers and building owners fighting over scope, while insurers continue to profiteer.
Where is the change @UKlabour promised? When will Govt fix this mess @AngelaRayner?
Yesterday I spoke to a resident at Waterside Heights in east London who is worried that his block of flats will become the next Grenfell because of its flammable cladding

Dame Judith states the obvious but fails to address the excessive complexity of her regulatory reforms. Further compounded by botched implementation and a poorly funded regulator. Via @BBCTomSymonds https://t.co/ovw8KSLTtd
Hoping the two serious fires in London today will cause a rethink by @Barrattplc for the desperate residents of Royal Artillery Quays in Woolwich terrified about being force to accept flammable material on their tall towers. .
The panels Barratt want to leave on our buildings (marked X below ) are highly flammable XPS panels going right up our building and are our only escape route in the event of a fire. The panels are banned on new buildings!

There should be no confusion @SammyGecsoyler about how these fires could happen 7 yrs after Grenfell.
It's because @mhclg & successive govts drag their feet as they cover up for their own dangerous safety regulations & protect the construction industry.

📺 In the aftermath of the devastating fire in Dagenham, we spoke with @skynews about the human impact of the building safety crisis - and the additional risk to people's safety if they are living in their homes during remediation.

@Barrattplc are ignoring the desperate pleas of 1000 residents in tall flammable towers at Royal Artillery Quays in Woolwich.
Despite putting residents lives at High risk of fire for 22 years with an unlawful and dangerous external cladding system due to their poor workmanship, they are now forcing the residents to accept flammable material banned on new buildings must remain on their tall towers making residents worry for their safety and also condemming them to permanently high insurance costs.
After two serious fires with tall towers in London on the same day, should @BarrattHomes now listen to the desperate residents in the video below and take all the flammable material off?
The Building Safety Act gives you the powers to take action against developers who fail to remediate dangerous buildings @AngelaRayner.
As Secretary of State, you can make sure they no longer get planning permissions.
When will you take action?
