I'm happy we're getting volume 10, but with all the re-releases and hints to now getting only a greenlit message is disappointing. This is a sign that it's still a long way out.
I knew this day would come at some point, but I still thought there would be more time. I expect when next gen consoles come out, there just won't even be an option for a disc drive. I wonder how that will effect backwards compatibility.

Just found my ductless minisplit systems have been building up liquid in the lineset insulation, which started making the whole thing rust.... Gotta love that
FromSoftware’s parent company, Kadokawa, has decided to keep CEO Takeshi Natsuno after shareholders voted against removing him.
The vote followed investor Oasis Management’s claim that the company wasn’t fully capitalizing on Elden Ring’s massive success.
They said Kadokawa was leaving money on the table by letting Bandai Namco publish FromSoftware games outside Japan instead of handling it themselves.
Although Natsuno kept his job, support for him dropped from 90% last year to 59.68% this year, investors are not happy
Kadokawa said it will now review its management, executive pay, and overall business strategy after the vote.
I'm concerned that Sony has a full game plan for Bungie besides the current layoffs... There is no way they don't know that Marathon isn't doing well. I won't be surprised if they plan to let it ride for a full year, cancel it, and then layoff the rest of Bungie...
This just goes to show, when the higher ups make up their mind, it really doesn't matter what we do as players... They will always do what they think is best for them, but never what's best for the game, community, and all the developers.
Bungie announces "a reduction in force"
"Following our final content update to Destiny 2, and with our future projects still in early incubation, we unfortunately could not continue operating at our previous size."
@PinkIcePhoenix It was just funny opening steam in full screen and thats the first thing to pop up glaring at me. Then I see it was your recommendation 😂
Seeing the amount of people surprise/mad about GTA6 being $80 and no disc is funny. People are still going to buy it. Its reputation and hype is too powerful to be stopped.
@MightyKeef I would check for cutscenes on YouTube as well just in case. I was taking my wife through the campaigns and the game would skip cutscenes throughout.
@Destiny2Team My wife and I decided to get back into the game and she hadn't gone through most of the campaigns. We went through WitchQueen and Lightfall but realized the game was skipping several cutscenes. We started Final Shape, and it completely skipped the beginning.
The last week of game announcement have left me excited and sad. There are cool games coming out, but being an adult with a house, very little money to get said games. 🥲
Do not do this... When a game is starting to fail, as a company, you need to make a big pivot to make sure it doesn't fall apart. Bungie executives have done the opposite for years... After so many years, the playerbase is tired... and here we are now.
Want to save Destiny 2 and convince Sony to greenlight Destiny 3?
1. Buy a D2 annual pass if you haven't already.
2. Login to D2 daily.
3. Play D2 actively for an hour daily.
4. Spend some Silver every week.
5. Buy Marathon (it helps fund Destiny).
It's not a sure bet, but a large and steady player count with significant in-game purchases and a growing base of Marathon players sends a message to Sony that there is profit to be made. And profit is the ONLY thing that can convince Sony to do anything.
Also, use #Destiny2 and #WeWantDestiny3 on every gaming post to keep the tags alive and visible.
@ItsBobbySocks Being a FF14 player and a former Destiny player, to me the writing has been on the wall for years that Destiny was going down hill. With the constant decisions Bungie made, I lost hope at Lightfall.
FF14, they actually listen and don't rip people off (nearly as much)
