Antiwhites seek to White erase the Western mythos because it contradicts the antiwhite narrative.

This is happening across the entirety of Western culture. They take a White hero who embodies the Western archetype and turn him evil and/or pathetic so as to align that character with the evil White man archetype found within the antiwhite narrative. It also gives them the "justification" they need to White erase the character by turning them non-white.

As a result, White men have no White positive example to emulate and when antiwhites want to victimize those same White men, it's "justified" because it's been established in their minds that they worthless at best and irredeemably evil at worst.

It's two birds one stone, White men are demoralized and believe they deserve to be erased and antiwhites get the "justification" they use as a pretext for their White erasure.
