“Do not fear them; remember the Lord who is great and fearsome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” Neh. 4:14
Some argue the possibility of mistakes is a reason to oppose the death penalty.
Yet no system in history has had more protections against wrongful conviction. To argue this is to argue it has never been just for the state to carry out its God-ordained function.
Muslims are planning to build a huge Islamic facility near Plano—and their ad features what looks like a historic Baptist church being replaced by a mosque
Southern Baptists, it doesn’t matter what Russell Moore said. We’re not obligated to support this!
@oriontsx@BaT_MaN_23 Jesus is not a fake god. He is a historical figure with strong contemporary attestation, claimed divinity through resurrection accounts that launched the world's largest religion, and stands apart from the purely mythological figures in that image.
Behold how organized the sinister nature of Barfare is, and how well-funded.
The aim here is to take conservative and populist lawyers off the field so that elections are undefended.
And when elections are undefended and only one side has lawyers, the march to one-party rule moves closer and closer to completion.
Mark my words that no one will be safe if these Marxists using Barfare achieve their goal.
Politicians are all drawn to foreign countries because they seem exciting and exotic. You think John Cornyn wants to go talk about water issues in Lubbock?
Please. He’s a senator. He wants a red carpet trip to Delhi.
The H-1B flywheel: one worker gets H-1B, the spouse gets H-4, that spouse starts an LLC that files more H-1Bs and each new worker can start the same cycle.
Your kid needs 8 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars to become a resident doctor.
High School → 4 years college → 4 years medical school → Residency
Meanwhile, someone from India, Pakistan, or Sudan can finish a 5-year program after high school, come to US on H-1B/J-1 visa, and take the same residency.
High School → 5 years medical school → Residency
Why is it easier for them to become US doctors, and so much harder for our kids?
Tony’s open-records request has unearthed some interesting finds.
“Immigration Enforcement” is a search policy that can be enabled or disabled for a Flock camera network. When enabled, Flock says searches it identifies as being related to immigration enforcement are blocked from accessing that network’s camera data.
“Reproductive Health” is another toggleable search policy. Same concept: searches Flock identifies as related to reproductive-care enforcement can be prevented from hitting that network’s cameras. Which raises a pretty obvious question: what exactly is Flock looking at to determine that a license-plate search is about reproductive health? I didn’t think cars could reproduce.
Agencies are entering DOBs and SSN-format numbers directly into search reasons. What exactly does the data schema for a Flock search look like? What information about a person, vehicle and investigation is stored with each query and where does that information go?
Case number is blank on many of the searches. Flock has historically allowed case numbers to be optional, although it says it is moving toward requiring case codes. If a search is part of legitimate police work, shouldn’t there be some unique case identifier tying it back to the actual investigation?
The more of these records we get, the less this looks like “just a license-plate camera.”
Where are all the libs on this?
